From Bowling Green, Kentucky, Tami Hansbrough is a talented and proven leader with more than a decade of experience helping non-profit organizations reach their goals and fulfill their missions. She has used her knowledge and the experience she’s acquired throughout her career to demonstrate leadership by creating and launching fundraising programs with comprehensive engagement to locate, develop, solicit, and steward major donors and bring success to the organizations.

Currently in her career, Tami Hansbrough is the Executive Director of Development for Watoto Child Care Ministries; she’s held this role since 2015. In her position, Tami manages and leads the United States fundraising operation working to provide support to Watoto, a non-profit organization operating in Uganda. The East African-organization works to ensure that everyone – especially the forgotten and abandoned people and children -has a place where they always belong and have the opportunity to become empowered through education. Currently, Watoto actively rescues former child soldiers and infants and cares for more than 3,000 orphans; it works to empower 2,500 women in need, helping them capitalize on their full potential and become Uganda’s future leaders. As the Executive Director of Development, Tami Hansbrough oversaw fundraising efforts that totaled nine million dollars per year in revenue. Among other responsibilities and accomplishments, Tami also works in tandem with leadership in Uganda to manage and implement Neighborhood Women Watoto Empowerment, a social enterprise, throughout the United States.

Prior to her work with Watoto, Tami Hansbrough worked with Text2Give, Inc., in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as the Executive Director of Client Relations. The company works to bring the reach and communication power of mobile channels to non-profit organizations, schools, universities, and churches to help them further their fundraising outreach and donor engagement. In Tami’s role, she advised, consulted, and educated more than 100 non-profit organizations to implement and market mobile channels as viable fundraising avenues. Not only did she manage client relations – which included training and staffing webinars – she also created customized strategies to address the fundraising needs and goals of each organization specifically.

Tami Hansbrough also used to work with Poplar Bluff Medical Partners in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, as a Development and Marketing Representative. In this role, she managed a marketing campaign on behalf of 30 physicians looking to construct an ambulatory surgery center in remote and rural healthcare settings.

Tami Hansbrough holds her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She has used her knowledge and the experience she’s acquired throughout her career to demonstrate leadership by creating and launching fundraising programs with comprehensive engagement to locate, develop, solicit, and steward major donors and bring success to the organizations.
